Who is responsible?
Le Chene L.L.C-FZ (trading as Le Chene) is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. For privacy questions or requests, email enquiry@lechene.co, with “Privacy request” in the subject line. Our business is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
What we collect
If you submit our contact form, we receive your name, work email, organisation (if supplied), phone (if supplied), your message and confirmation that you have read this policy. If you request the company profile, we receive your name, work email, organisation and acknowledgment of this policy; we email those details to our enquiry team and initiate the PDF download. Name, work email and message are required to send the form; other fields are optional. Without the required details, we cannot respond through the form. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in a general enquiry. We may also receive information you choose to send by email.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may process technical information such as your IP address, browser details, requested pages and access times to deliver the site and protect it. A short-lived session cookie is used when you submit the form to limit repeat submissions.
How and why we use it
We use enquiry and profile request details to respond, send the requested profile, understand your needs, arrange a discussion and, where relevant, take steps toward providing a service. Requesting the profile does not subscribe you to a newsletter. We may follow up about that specific request; you may ask us not to. We use technical information to operate and secure the website. We do not use the contact form to sign you up to a marketing list, sell your information or make decisions about you solely by automated means.
Where EU or UK GDPR applies, the usual legal bases for handling an enquiry are steps requested before a contract and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and protecting the site. We may also process information when required by law. Where the UAE Federal Personal Data Protection Law applies, we handle data in accordance with its applicable requirements. We will ask separately before using your details for unrelated direct marketing.
Who may receive it
Relevant Le Chene team members and, when needed for your request, specialists working with us may see your enquiry. Our website hosting and email providers process information to deliver and route messages. Our hosting and email services operate under their terms and the contractual protections applicable to our use of them.
With your choice, Google Analytics may process page views and device information to help us understand how the website is used. Analytics storage is denied by default. You can accept or reject analytics through the on-site choice and change it using Cookie settings in the footer. Google may process this information in countries where it operates; see its privacy notice for details. This page loads fonts from Google Fonts and some editorial images from Unsplash. Those providers may receive technical information, including your IP address, when the resources load. LinkedIn, Instagram, award and podcast links take you to other websites with their own privacy notices. The Careers link opens an external recruitment site provided by Manatal; information submitted there is governed by the notices shown on that site.
Where information is handled
Le Chene works internationally. Our team or providers may handle website enquiry information in the UAE or other countries where they operate or host services. Where EU or UK transfer rules apply, we must put an appropriate legal transfer mechanism or safeguard in place. Email us if you would like details about a transfer relevant to your enquiry.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as reasonably needed to respond and manage follow-up. We review enquiries that do not lead to work and delete them when they are no longer needed. If your enquiry leads to a client relationship, relevant correspondence may be retained for longer in line with contracts, record-keeping requirements and applicable law. Hosting providers may hold security logs for their own limited retention periods.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you are and the law that applies, you may ask to access or correct your information, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, ask for a portable copy, or withdraw consent where consent is the basis. These rights have legal limits. You may object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Email enquiry@lechene.co and we will explain how we can help; we may need to confirm your identity.
If you have a concern, please contact us first. You may also complain to the data protection authority responsible for your location or the processing concerned, such as an EU supervisory authority, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or the relevant UAE authority, where applicable.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page if our website, providers or legal obligations change. The date above shows when this version was published. We will update this notice if our services or data use change.
