Le Chene client work
The client challenge
Le Chene worked on a tourism product app for a client in the Seychelles, taking it from conception to launch. Its proposition depended on two groups making sense of the product: visitors finding experiences worth exploring and local partners deciding whether participating made commercial and operational sense. Product design had to address both sides of that relationship.
Defining a usable first release
The important product choices are often practical. A visitor needs to understand what is available, how to use it and what to do when plans change. A partner needs simple rules for joining, presenting an offer and confirming a transaction. Product management connects these needs to interface design, commercial terms, support processes and the technology behind them. Testing the main journey and its exceptions early helps avoid a polished experience that fails at the point of use.
Launch is an operating decision
Before launch, a digital product needs ownership beyond the build team: who updates content, helps partners, handles a failed redemption and monitors usage? After launch, feedback can distinguish a discovery problem from a coverage problem or an unclear offer. A roadmap should respond to those signals rather than grow solely from a list of requested features.
Why this matters
The strongest tourism products give visitors confidence while making participation workable for local businesses. The value of taking a product from concept through launch is keeping the design, commercial model and day-to-day operation connected.
