Le Chene client work

The engagement

Le Chene worked with a property company in New Zealand on a large transformation of its systems and processes. Property businesses often manage a continuous chain from enquiry and onboarding to tenancy or occupancy administration, maintenance, suppliers, finance and customer service. When each function has its own records and workarounds, the customer sees delays while staff spend time reconciling information. The client name and specific outcomes are withheld in this anonymised account.

See the operation end to end

Systems transformation needs a clear map of how work actually moves. Follow representative cases through the business, identify duplicate entry, uncertain ownership and approvals that add time without adding control. Distinguish a platform limitation from a process issue: replacing software alone will not solve a handover whose decision rights remain unclear. The design must also account for the data quality needed for reliable reporting and the safeguards required for personal information.

Design implementation with the users

A future process is credible when property managers, customer-facing colleagues, finance, suppliers and technology specialists can operate it together. Agree the core data definitions, service standards and exception paths. Test the new workflow against normal and difficult cases before a broad rollout. Staff need time to practise and a direct route to report where the system does not match the work.

Make improvement sustainable

A large programme is not complete when a system goes live. Measure whether enquiries are resolved more clearly, handovers are faster and people trust the information available to them. Maintain a product and process owner who can prioritise fixes after launch. When the organisation owns that feedback loop, technology and operations can improve together rather than drifting apart.

Le Chene brings solution architecture, transformation delivery, customer experience and people development into one practical programme.
